The Kitchen Cupboard Challenge

As you prepare for your move, you'll likely find yourself sifting through the contents of your kitchen cupboards. Instead of tossing out unused non-perishable food items, consider taking part in our Kitchen Cupboard Challenge. We encourage you to donate these items at any of our offices in Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Mexborough and Maltby.

Your contributions won't just lighten your moving load; they will also go a long way in supporting those in our community facing difficult times. By partnering with local food banks, we aim to provide much-needed assistance to individuals and families in need. Your tinned goods, pasta, rice, and other non-perishables can become a lifeline for someone experiencing hardship.

Going one step further

We're pleased to announce that, in addition to our Kitchen Cupboard Challenge, we can assist in finding a new home for your unwanted furniture. By partnering with Doncaster Housing for Young People (DHYP), we aim to support young individuals in our local community as they embark on the journey of furnishing their first homes. A chair, a table, or a bed can transform a house into a home, and you can be a part of making that happen.

How It Works

Gather Unwanted Non-Perishables: As you pack up your kitchen, set aside any non-perishable food items that you don't plan to take with you to your new home.

Drop Off at Our Offices: Bring your donations to any of our offices, where we have designated collection points for the Kitchen Cupboard Challenge. While our offices eagerly welcome food donations, we regret to inform you that we cannot accept furniture donations in-house. Please reach out to us directly, and we will work with you to facilitate the donation process for DHYP.

Making a Difference: Your donations will be delivered directly to local food banks, ensuring that they reach those who need them the most.
